Welcome to the official home of MusicJOT®
John Reed and Mark Dalrymple started writing a music notation app for iPad™ in 2012 that incorporated handwriting recognition. After five years of development, MusicJOT® was released on Apple's App Store in January 2017. Apple has since highlighted it on four separate occasions on the App Store home page. Constantly updating with improvements and new features, MusicJOT® is proving itself a major player in the field of mobile music notation for the professional and amateur musician.
"Being able to examine the world around us is paramount to our design. Every discipline in the arts affords us the opportunity to examine the world from a fresh perspective. That in turn opens up new doors to motivation, inspiration and mental growth. Those that forego the arts live half-lives at best."
- John Reed, 2007
